Circular economy is described as a way of working that seeks to reduce impact on the environment by keeping materials in use. We have put into place a few initiatives in ARK to give materials and products a longer life.

As a member of the Zero Emissions Network, we have a bike share between employees to travel to work. We’ve fitted bike racks outside our building, and have a bike pump handy to help any of our members get on their bike!
ARK Coworking is situated in the building of All Saints Church, a Church of England church in the Barnsbury Parish. Unable to meet in the building for the past five years, we are working with them towards the site being multi-use; running ARK Monday - Friday and allowing the church community to meet once again for their Sunday services, keeping the building in use all week rather than leaving empty London buildings.
When converting the church building into a coworking space, we repurposed the old wooden doors, and restored the original stain glass windows and features where we could.

Supporting a local charity Choices, who provide counselling and support women and their partners who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.
The Boutique receives donations of pre-loved clothing and equipment for babies and children so that other families who need these items can collect them for free.
Rather than office buildings that sit half empty, coworking allows for smaller businesses and remote workers to share office space without leaving office buildings under-utilised throughout the week, heating buildings with empty desks.
We exist to help people just starting out or those who couldn’t otherwise afford coworking, with our members ranging from social enterprises, creative businesses, start-ups and freelancers. We have a community-focused business model that supports and builds the economic vitality of local communities.
